I'm back!

So I realize it has been awhile since I have posted anything on here. I guess I knew what I was talking about when I wrote my initial 'warning' post. I do have the tendency to start new projects and drop them half way through. Well, enough is enough! I am back and I'm going to make this blog work! I'm sure the two or three of you who actually read this are jumping up and down in your seats... or maybe not.

Anywho, we have made it through the holidays with relative success. It was Brennan's first Christmas. He didn't take too much interest in the tree. He did enjoy removing a few of the lower ornaments. Smartly, on our behalf, they were all "damage resistant" ornaments! He liked reorganizing the presents under the tree and decided a box for my mother was as good as a chair. Fortunatly it only contained clothing so it was crumpled but none to worse for wear. When it came time to unwrap, tearing paper was okay, empty boxes were nice, but moving clothing from one pile to another and in and out of the afore mentioned empty box was the best! He had a couple toys from Santa Christmas morning as well as a stocking full of socks. He loved his toys. He tried to put the socks back in the stocking. I don't think Santa takes returns that way though.

Now, back to the present. We are almost done de-Christmasing our house; I stress the ALMOST. I'm so glad that there is no more of that stupid cold frozen water on the ground - normal people like to call it snow. I think the word 'snow' is way to heartwarming and happy to describe that very loooooong week. Or was it two weeks? I don't know, I blocked it out!

Ahh changing the name of snow sounds like a great idea. You think it's going to be all fun. Talking to friends from out of town and they say "oh, you had a white Christmas, how nice!" And I'm thinking, NICE? Not getting to see my family until a week later is nice? Getting stranded at the house and having to walk home from the grocery store for half an hour in the snow because the bus never came back is nice? People are truly delusional!

But there are still neighbors of ours that have all of their Christmas stuff up, so you needn't worry about that. We took down our tree about a week after new year's. After being bombarded with Christmas since Halloween, I was done!

Sorry for the HUGE comment! But you haven't blogged in awhile...so, it's your fault!
