Try and Try Again

Okay, so I have been very bad. In the business of life, I forgot about this blog entirely. Well, that is a bit of lie. I moved the knowledge of this blog to the back of mind and when it did come into focus, instead of sitting down and updating I simply hit delete. Yes, yes, I know, I took the easy way out. But then it was brought to my attention that people actually like having updated information on our lives and they missed the random ramblings and pictures. Hello Grandma Audrey! Everyone here misses you profusely! So, here I am and there are a lot of happenings to fill you in on.

It is sad to admit, but it has been almost a year since my last post. I feel like I should be attending group meetings... "Hello. My name is Amy and I am a flaky blogger." Hmmmmm, so where should I begin?

Brennan is 23 months old and fully engrossed in 2 year old boundary pushing. Everything is pretty much routine in our lives. We landscaped the backyard this summer which included putting in some flower beds (including one corner we call the fairy garden which at the moment is a muddy hill of flowerbed with just a few plants - but overtime, it will be a fairy garden... I promise!), digging out and putting in a stone/living patio below the kitchen window, planting flowering vines over the gazebo over the new stone/living patio, and planting a quaking aspen and four, count them 4, columnar apple trees along our east fence line! Yeah, I'm proud of our work, can you tell???
Christmas is this Friday! We are very excited because Brennan finally enjoys unwrapping presents! We are having a smaller Christmas this year - trying to be smart financially during these odd odd times. So, with our new sewing machine - Thank You G.G.!!! - We made matching P.J.s for the whole family. I will definitely post pictures after Christmas! Even though we all know what they look like, they are going to be wrapped and sitting under the Christmas Tree come Christmas Eve.

Hmmm, what else? So much has happened and changed yet I can't think of anything! Oh! Here we go. Brennan has a new favorite game. It is called "What's that?" It consists of Brennan pointing at random things/people and asking "What's that?" for 1/2 an hour at a time. Yeah. Tons of fun. Can you tell?

Well, anywho. I think I will put this post to bed. I know it is odd and scatterbrained, but I can only work with brain God gave me. ; ) I promise I will post some more later. I'm thinking it would be a good idea to go through some of my pictures and do some structured reminiscing. Until then...

Oh my goodness "what's that?" is my least favorite game! Tawnya's son Riley is more personal, his questions are usually "where's your house?" "where's your car?" or "why do you have that in your hand?"
